Valpo hit the road on Saturday as they traveled over an hour east to play in a loud and intense environment at Northridge High School. The Vikings were up to the challenge jumping out to an early lead and not looking back, winning the first quarter 27 to 16 and went into halftime up 13. Once again 9 different players scored on the night showcasing the depth Coach Coolman has on this year's team. Mason Jones led in scoring going for a career high 33 points on 13 of 17 from the field including 6 of 6 from the free throw line. Breece Walls added 11 points and 5 assists on a night where the Vikings shot 22 of 25 from inside the arc and 13 of 15 from the charity strip as a team. Currently Valpo is shooting 88% on their free throw attempts. Valpo is back in action with their next 4 games taking place at home on December 10th (Meet the Vikes Night), 11th (Hall of Fame Night), the 14th and the 18th.

The Valparaiso Junior Varsity team lost to the Northside Raiders 46-38. The Vikings set the wrong kind of record with 28 turnovers in the contest. However, the heart and tenacity shown over the course of the game while shorthanded was admirable. Matt Hofer scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Tyler VerSchure had 4 steals. Jaden Adams had 11 points.
