Vikings pick up back-to-back wins on the road

The Vikings hit the road again on Saturday facing off against the Kankakee Valley Kougars, picking up another win 68-46. The game opened with an electric first quarter as the teams exchanged big baskets. As the game went on the Vikings took control and settled the contest with great team defense.

Mason Jones led the way with a 30 point 10 rebound double-double. Jack Smiley reached a career-high 21 points, while six other players chipped in scoring and a plus-10 rebounding margin. 

 

The boys JV basketball team defeated the Kankakee Valley Kougars 54-39. 

They were led by Colin Kaleth who had 13 points and 3 assists and Trent Kimes who had 11 points. Isaiah Keene and Julian Stokes each had 6 rebounds. 

 

Valpo is back in action at home Tuesday night in a matchup versus Gary 21st with JV starting at 5:30pm and varsity to follow. Next  Friday the team is back on the road at East Chicago Central followed by a Saturday game at Elkhart.
