Vikings pick up back-to-back wins at home
The Vikings had the Kankakee Valley Cougars at home on Saturday and won with the final score of 79-59, moving to a record now of 3-2.
The game was tied after the first quarter, but after that, the Vikings did not look back. They won every other quarter by an average of 6 points. The defense was dialed in for the whole game, holding the Cougars to only make five total threes out of seventeen attempts, and forcing them to turn the ball over twelve times.
Jack Smiley led the charge with 30 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds. Trent Kimes had 19 points, going 3 for 5 from deep, Caden Crowell also added 14 points. The Vikings will have Gary 21st Century next Tuesday at home.
