The Vikings lost 63-61 against the Gary Westside Cougars in their season opener on Nov. 22. Jack Smiley led the attack in all categories, posting 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Caden Crowell helped the Vikings’ scoring with 10 points, KJ Avery and Trent Kimes both chipped in 8 points. The Vikings will have their home opener next week against East Chicago, looking to strike back after their first loss.
