Valpo wins at Hanover Central
The Valparaiso Vikings delivered a commanding away performance Friday night, defeating Hanover 57-44 in a non-conference matchup. Led by standout scorer Crowell with 23 points, the Vikings combined sharp shooting, dominant rebounding, and steady defense to secure the win. Crowell quickly set the tone, scoring efficiently both inside and beyond the arc.
Hanover found some rhythm in the second quarter, closing the gap slightly, but the Vikings maintained a 29-24 halftime lead. After the break, Valpo returned with renewed intensity, delivering a decisive 17-point third-quarter run that effectively put the game out of reach. Crowell wasn’t the only Viking making an impact. Avery orchestrated the offense, tallying 9 assists while contributing 6 points and 3 rebounds. Valpo’s defensive effort was equally impressive.
The Vikings pressured Hanover into 12 turnovers while racking up 10 steals. Their hustle on defense allowed them to control the tempo throughout the night. The Valpo Vikings obtained the win against Hanover defeating them 57-44.
